This morning, on February 17, problems with electricity supply have been reported in several areas of Kherson. As a result of enemy shelling, the power grids have been disabled.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of Roman Mrochko, the head of the Kherson City Military Administration.

"The dark Russian forces are once again trying to deprive us of light. Due to enemy shelling, the power grids have been disabled," the official's publication states.

He informed that there is a partial lack of electricity in the Dniprovskyi and Central districts. Additionally, the head of the military administration mentioned that a "difficult situation" is observed in the Ship district.

"Energy workers are gradually eliminating the damages. Kherson is alive. Light will prevail," Mrochko added.

Shelling of Kherson

We remind you that Russian invaders continue to control the left bank part of the Kherson region, which allows the occupiers to strike Kherson not only with drones and aviation but also using artillery.

Recently, the head of the Kherson OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin, noted that the front line needs to be pushed back from Kherson by at least 20 kilometers to stop the "Russian drone terror," and until then, intense shelling will continue.

As reported on February 13, some residents of Kherson were left without electricity, water, and heat due to strikes by Russian terrorists. Furthermore, on the same day, there was a "hit" in a high-rise building in the center of Kherson due to an enemy attack.

Prior to that, on February 8, Russian shelling damaged power grids in Kherson, leaving some residents without electricity as well.
