On the night of January 28, an explosion was reported in Kharkiv amidst drone attacks. This resulted in a large-scale fire and several injuries. This information was provided by UNN citing the Telegram channel of the city’s mayor Igor Terekhov and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).
Details
It has been noted that a fire covering an area of approximately 1500 square meters broke out in Kharkiv on the night of January 28 following an attack by a Russian drone. The blaze engulfed production facilities in the Novobavarsky district.
Later, Terekhov specified the area of the explosion and mentioned the extensive fire in that region.
It is reported that the flames affected a two-story building. Additionally, the attack damaged the premises of neighboring businesses and at least two vehicles that were parked nearby.
According to preliminary data, there are no reported injuries resulting from the explosion and fire.

The enemy blew up the pipes of the Seversky Donets canal to create passages for equipment and assault operations. Special units "Akhmat" and "Rusich" have been observed in the Chasovoy Yar direction.
