Deputy Vitrenko discussed the Kyiv Council's review of support for defenders and the analysis of financial losses.

Recently, another meeting of the budget commission of the Kyiv City Council concluded, where key issues directly affecting the city's life and support for the military were discussed.

Kyiv City Council member Andriy Vitrenko shared the outcomes of the meeting, during which several important decisions were made.

One of the main agenda items was the redistribution of aid for defenders. Over 50 issues related to military support were reviewed at the meeting, including both financial assistance and the provision of necessary supplies for defenders to carry out their tasks.

The topic of additional support for veteran businesses was also raised. The discussion focused on providing assistance to those defenders who engage in entrepreneurial activities upon returning to peaceful territories. This initiative will help veterans by promoting the development of their businesses and creating additional employment opportunities.

Another significant topic was the report from the Department of Internal Financial Control and Audit. The meeting analyzed the activities of the main budget fund managers, particularly addressing issues of substantial financial losses in certain city enterprises.

As Vitrenko noted, one of the biggest problems is financial losses in communal property enterprises. Specifically, "Kyivvodokanal" incurred losses amounting to 72 million UAH, while other enterprises faced losses of around 50-40 million UAH. This became a serious discussion topic, as some of these enterprises are setting records for the size of financial losses of the capital's budget funds.

Following the meeting, it was decided to invite the main budget fund managers to the next commission meeting to explain these losses. An investigation into the causes of such significant financial issues will also be initiated.

This meeting marked an important step towards increasing transparency in the use of the city's budget funds, as well as providing additional support for those fighting for peace and tranquility in Ukraine.
