In the midst of the war, she and her team continue to actively support Ukrainian soldiers, medical staff, and civilians.
“The Great War has been ongoing for almost three years now. For us Ukrainians, it’s a matter of survival. Ukrainians have chosen independence and freedom. Putin's Russia wants to take that away and return us to what I call the 'International of Dictators.' I want you to know: we will not surrender! We will fight!” stated Yulia Tymoshenko.
The leader of the “Batkivshchyna” party has united a team of like-minded individuals who are working across all regions of the country, providing humanitarian, medical, and military aid, while also creating an effective support system for those who have suffered the most from the war.
“The extensive humanitarian work of our team has been ongoing since the first days of the full-scale invasion. All this time, we have been on the front lines alongside our heroic defenders, medical workers, volunteers, and our people,” noted Yulia Tymoshenko's deputy, Valeriy Dubil, head of “Batkivshchyna” in Kyiv.
Thanks to the cohesive team of “Batkivshchyna,” systematic assistance has been organized for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, frontline hospitals, and medical facilities. Every week, party members arrange trips to the front line to deliver drones, FPV drones, bulletproof vests, generators, Starlinks, and other essential equipment to the military in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kursk directions.
Another crucial area of Yulia Tymoshenko's team's work is supporting the medical sector in partnership with charitable foundations. Hospitals, stabilization points, frontline hospitals, and major medical institutes in various regions systematically receive medical supplies: MRI machines, CT scanners, gastroscopes, blood warmers, cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices, “artificial kidneys,” surgical kits, and operating tables.
The team also pays special attention to the evacuation of children, assistance to displaced persons, and the restoration of damaged buildings. The evacuation of children from the National Children's Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt” was one of the most critical moments in the early days of the full-scale invasion. At that time, Yulia Tymoshenko and her team organized the transfer of small, seriously ill patients to safe regions, providing them with necessary medical assistance.
“This was one of the most important missions in the first days of the war — to save children in need of protection and urgent help. Thanks to teamwork, we managed to avert a disaster,” noted Valeriy Dubil.
For nearly three years of full-scale invasion, Yulia Tymoshenko has not only coordinated humanitarian activities but also served as a source of inspiration for her team. Her ability to maintain determination and motivation during the toughest moments of the war unites people across the country.
“We have chosen a mission for ourselves — to save lives. And we work on it every day! Thank you to our leader, who has united the team!” added Valeriy Dubil.
