Claims and lawsuits totaling 31 million: The State Environmental Inspectorate assessed the environmental damage incurred over the past week.

From January 10 to January 16, 2025, the territorial and interregional bodies of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine conducted 264 control activities and compiled 281 protocols for administrative offenses.

The total amount of imposed fines is 49 thousand UAH.

A total of 40 thousand UAH has been collected for the State Budget.

Due to violations of environmental legislation, damages have been calculated at 3 million 491 thousand UAH.

The total amount of claims and lawsuits stands at 31 million 57 thousand UAH.

Damages have been recovered voluntarily and forcibly in the amount of 2 million 582 thousand UAH (considering previously submitted claims and lawsuits).

Ivano-Frankivsk Region

The Carpathian District Inspectorate has calculated damages amounting to

1 million 183 thousand 164 UAH for the illegal logging of 68 living trees of different species outside the settlement of the village of Mezhyrechye in the Zarechye area, Bolkhov City Council of the Kalush District. A report on the crime has been submitted to the OPU

No. 1 (City of Dolyna) of the Kalush District Police Department of the National Police in Ivano-Frankivsk Region, the National Police in Ivano-Frankivsk Region, and the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Lviv Region

The Inspectorate in Lviv Region has filed a lawsuit in the Economic Court

of Lviv Region for damages against KP "Stryvodykanal" in the amount of

1 million 272 thousand 773 UAH, caused to the environment due to the excessive discharge of wastewater from treatment facilities into the Stryi River, resulting in surface water pollution.

Khmelnytskyi Region

The Inspectorate in Khmelnytskyi Region has filed a lawsuit in the Economic Court of Khmelnytskyi Region for damages against KP "Iziaslavvodokanal" in the amount of 28 million 242 thousand 986 UAH, caused to the environment due to the discharge of pollutants with return waters into the water body, the Horyn River, exceeding the established standards for GDS.
