In the village of Novye Petrovtsy in the Vyshgorod district, on the territory of the "Balaton Village" complex, an illegal fence has been discovered, blocking access to the water body.
According to the State Environmental Inspection of the Capital Region, the fence was constructed directly on the water surface, which is a violation of legislation and restricts people's right to free access to water.
However, this is not the only violation. Inspectors also found permanent structures in the coastal protective zone, where construction is prohibited by law. Additionally, the area was littered with wood waste and manure.
According to the Water Code of Ukraine, the shores of water bodies are considered common use lands, and restricting access to them is prohibited. Moreover, construction and littering in the coastal zone are strictly forbidden.
A police investigative group was called to the scene, which documented the violations and initiated an investigation. Now, environmentalists will work alongside law enforcement to identify those responsible for the illegal construction and littering of the area.
Such violations may result in administrative or even criminal liability, including fines and obligations to restore the area to its previous condition. If the actions of those responsible are found to indicate unauthorized land seizure or environmental damage, the case may be referred to court.
The eco-inspection promises to monitor the situation and ensure that violations are addressed.
