Ukraine hosted its inaugural national seminar for integrity officers in sports.

The National Platform for Sports Integrity held a concluding event focused on issues of integrity within Ukraine's sports federations.

The event was held in collaboration with the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. The initiative was supported by the charitable fund Favbet Foundation, which encourages the younger generation to engage in sports and creates new opportunities for this.

The seminar represented a significant step toward implementing European standards of sports integrity in Ukraine. Participants discussed pressing challenges related to manipulation in sports competitions, match-fixing, and other violations that undermine trust in sports. Key aspects of combating corruption, ensuring fair play, and adhering to ethical standards in the sports sector were also addressed.

The event brought together over 60 participants and took place both online and offline. Leading Ukrainian and international experts in the field of sports integrity served as speakers at the event.

Yuri Muzyka, the First Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, emphasized the importance of integrity as a fundamental principle of modern sports. The President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Vadim Guttsait, also actively participated, highlighting the strategic step taken by the NOC of Ukraine to establish a mandatory Code of Integrity for all participants in the Olympic movement.

The Favbet Foundation is a charitable organization established in 2020 to systematize and expand its philanthropic activities. The foundation aims to create a favorable environment for a sporting and prosperous future for the country, with a mission to invest in education, sports, and technology to ensure the development of a new generation and preserve talent in Ukraine.
