A ministerial-level meeting took place in Kyiv, where representatives from the foreign ministries of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Croatia, and Montenegro gathered for the inaugural meeting in the "Ukraine - Southeast Europe" format.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to the countries for their unwavering support of Ukraine's sovereignty and their efforts in restoring stability in the region. In his speech, he emphasized that through cooperation within this format, a deeper mutual understanding has been established, leading to the implementation of significant initiatives, particularly in the areas of demining and humanitarian aid.
Specific attention was given to enhancing defense capabilities, developing human capital, executing infrastructure projects, and ensuring global food security. Representatives of the countries expressed their readiness to continue supporting Ukraine on its path to the EU, as well as to strengthen regional cooperation to achieve stability in Europe.
This meeting was a logical continuation of the established cooperation format initiated in 2022, following summits in Greece, Albania, and Croatia.
