A passenger plane crashed in Kazakhstan yesterday morning. It is likely that it was shot down by the Russian side.

According to sources from the publication, the Russian air defense shot down the "Azerbaijan Airlines" aircraft. Notably, the nearest Russian airport on the flight path, "Makhachkala," was closed during the incident.
"No one claims that this was done intentionally. However, given the established facts, Baku expects the Russian side to acknowledge its role in the downing of the Azerbaijani plane," said the source.
Yesterday, an Embraer 190 passenger plane from AZAL airline crashed in Kazakhstan. At the time of the flight, there were 67 people on board, and as a result of the accident, 38 people lost their lives.
It is known that the plane was en route from Baku to Grozny.
As reported by Euronews, Azerbaijan confirmed that the cause of the aviation disaster was a Russian missile.
Additionally, today Israel's national airline El Al suspended flights to Russia. This decision was made following the aviation disaster in Kazakhstan.
