This was stated by the head of the Kupiansk city military administration, Andriy Besedin, as reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the national telethon.

According to him, the enemy is constantly attempting to carry out assault actions. Just yesterday, there were over 12 assault attempts in the direction of Petropavlivka-Holubivka. This area pertains to the central part of Kupiansk.

"The enemy is trying to reach the main highway Svatove-Kupiansk, in order to eventually enter the city itself. The situation is also very difficult in the direction of Zahryzove-Lozova-Kruhlyakivka. There, the enemy is continuously conducting assaults to reach the left bank of the Oskil River," added Besedin.

Fighting for Kupiansk

It is worth noting that earlier there were reports that a group of Russian occupiers had likely broken into Kupiansk. However, Ukrainian defenders managed to repel the attack.

According to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Anatoliy Burhylevych, there is currently no threat to Kupiansk.

Additionally, at the beginning of December, in the area of the village of Novomlynsk in the Kupiansk district, the Russians attempted to seize and hold a foothold on the right bank of the Oskil River.
