Economic analyst Alexey Kusch wrote about this in his authorial Telegram channel.
He emphasized that Yulia Tymoshenko was the first among politicians to honestly address the financial pyramid constructed by the National Bank, designed to ensure that banks close to it reaped colossal profits at the expense of Ukrainian businesses. Moreover, she "not only recognized how this 'nepotistic pyramid' of the NBU could be dismantled, but also proposed concrete steps to achieve this!"
The reprofiling suggested by the leader of the "Batkivshchyna" party could save around 140 billion UAH, with at least 90 billion UAH potentially allocated to the military budget.
Therefore, by refusing to adopt the resolution proposed by Yulia Tymoshenko on December 22, the Verkhovna Rada lost a unique opportunity to fund socially significant and critical areas for national security, believes Alexey Kusch.
