Lawsuit for three million hryvnias: The State Ecological Inspection holds unscrupulous entrepreneurs accountable.

The State Environmental Inspection of the Capital Region has filed a civil lawsuit in court for over 3,000,000 hryvnias for violations of environmental legislation as part of a criminal case.

The criminal investigation has revealed that one agricultural enterprise in the Kyiv region has contaminated the area with solid household waste and livestock waste, which are harmful to the environment—due to violations of specific regulations, creating a danger to the lives and health of people and the surrounding environment.

The inspection has submitted a civil lawsuit for more than 3 million hryvnias for violations of environmental protection legislation.

The State Environmental Inspection of the Capital Region emphasizes that according to Article 1 of the Land Code of Ukraine, land is a primary national treasure that is under special state protection.

Therefore, in accordance with Article 35 of the Law of Ukraine "On Land Protection," landowners and land users, including tenants, must adhere to the requirements of land and environmental protection legislation of Ukraine and ensure the protection of land from contamination and pollution during their economic activities.

The Environmental Inspection of the Capital Region continues to take all necessary measures (within its authority) to hold those responsible accountable.
