The city of Zaporizhzhia and its region were subjected to an enemy airstrike using Shahed-type strike drones on November 16. As a result of the drone attack, there were no injuries reported, but an infrastructure facility was damaged.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, referencing the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration Ivan Fedorov.
The official specified that the invaders targeted Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia region with Shahed drones early this morning.
"An object of critical infrastructure was damaged. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties," the head of the regional military administration shared on his Telegram.
Moreover, he noted that due to the shock wave, commercial premises and road surfaces were also damaged.
"Other damages are being assessed," added the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration.
According to the regional military administration, over the course of a day, Russian invaders launched 464 strikes on 17 populated areas of Zaporizhzhia region.
Regarding the enemy's use of drones during these attacks, it involved 275 UAVs of various modifications, which the occupiers deployed over the settlements of Zaporizhzhia, Lobkove, Huliaipole, Zheleznohrad, Shcherbaki, Novoandriivka, Novomykolaivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Belohorivka, and Novodarivka.
Additionally, the Russian army carried out 24 airstrikes on Odaryvka, Lobkove, Stepne, Orikhiv, Temyrivka, and Novoandriivka.
The enemy targeted Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Novodarivka, and Krasne with multiple rocket launchers, totaling 6 strikes with MLRS.
"159 artillery shellings were carried out in the territories of Lobkove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaki, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Belohorivka, Novodarivka, and Malynivka," the statement from the head of the regional military administration noted.
The administration added that a total of 15 reports of destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities in the region were received over the course of the day.
Furthermore, due to shelling in the Polohivskyi district yesterday, a 67-year-old man was killed.
Earlier, it was reported that explosions were heard in the area of Zaporizhzhia city on the night of November 16. Prior to this, enemy UAV activity was recorded moving towards the populated area.
