Oil product spills were detected on Anapa's central beach following the accident involving two Russian tankers, "Volgoneft".
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of the Anapa city administration.
"Right now, a monitoring group from the 'Resorts of Anapa' is recording localized oil spills from the Therapeutic Beach to the Anapka River. The patches are concentrating near the shore. Therefore, we ask residents and guests of the resort to be cautious and avoid getting too close to the water to prevent soiling their shoes," the message states.
It is noted that workers will begin cleaning the shore of oil products that washed ashore overnight starting in the morning.
Earlier, we reported that on December 15, two Russian tankers, "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239", crashed in the Kerch Strait due to a severe storm.
Just a few days later, another tanker accident occurred near the port of "Kavkaz" in the Black Sea. It became known that there was a leak of oil into the Black Sea and pollution along the coast of the Krasnodar region.
