In conditions of complete neglect and lack of proper care, the animals find themselves in horrific situations, often falling victim to hunger, disease, and violence. A recent example of this occurred in the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka.
Additionally, there have been previous reports of dogs being shot in the streets.
