The flooding in Spain has resulted in nearly a hundred deaths, with dozens of individuals reported missing due to the emergency situation.
This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, referencing El Pais.
Spanish authorities have confirmed that as of 7:00 PM, the death toll stands at 92 in Valencia, one in the province of Malaga, and two in Castilla-La Mancha.
Minister of Territorial Policy Ángel Víctor Torres announced a three-day mourning period and stated that the government will declare the area "severely affected," promising to provide "all necessary assistance" from state and European funds.
The Ministry of Defense has mobilized aviation, military psychologists, and trained dogs to search for the bodies of the deceased.
As a reminder, we previously reported that a part of Spain was hit by flooding. Dozens of people spent the night in Valencia on the roofs of trucks or cars, on the rooftops of shops or gas stations, or were stranded in their vehicles in traffic jams until they were rescued.
It's worth noting that the rains led to power outages for 115,000 people, as well as road closures and the suspension of high-speed rail services between Madrid and Valencia.
Additionally, recently the most powerful flooding in the last 40 years also occurred in France.
