In the seized areas of Ukraine, Russian authorities have begun recruiting local collaborators and "veterans of the Special Military Operation" to teach a course on "homeland studies" in schools. This subject has been introduced as part of a propaganda campaign aimed at fostering anti-Western sentiments among Ukrainian children and enhancing the positive image of the terrorist state.

Due to the lack of qualification requirements, this subject is being taught by anyone loyal to the occupying power, often without any teaching experience. In these classes, children are presented with a distorted worldview, where the West is portrayed as a threat, while the Russian Federation is depicted as an example of a "prosperous life."
