The Kyiv Specialized Prosecutor's Office has announced charges against the assistant head of the Podil District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (RTC) for legal affairs, accusing him of extorting illegal benefits.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the press service of the Special Prosecutor's Office for Defense in the Central Region.
According to the investigation, the suspect received a bribe from a lawyer amounting to 25,000 hryvnias and 4,000 dollars in exchange for promising not to hold the lawyer's client administratively accountable for violating military registration rules, as well as for facilitating registration that would allow avoidance of mobilization.
The man is charged with abuse of office for personal gain and extortion (Part 3 of Article 368, Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail of nearly 212,000 hryvnias.

Recently, charges were brought against five employees of the TCK in the Ternopil region, who were "extorting" bribes from military conscripts.
Additionally, the head of the Ternopil RTC was exposed for soliciting bribes in the form of fuel vouchers in exchange for deferments.
