Claims exceed 3 million: The State Environmental Inspection revealed the total losses incurred from violations of environmental protection laws.

From November 15 to 21, 2024, the territorial and interregional territorial bodies of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine conducted 399 control measures and compiled 347 protocols on administrative offenses.

The total amount of imposed fines is 80 thousand UAH.

A total of 73.6 thousand UAH has been collected for the State Budget.

Losses calculated for violations of environmental legislation amount to 3 million 768 thousand UAH.

The overall amount of claims and lawsuits amounts to 2 million 304 thousand 208 UAH.

Damages have been recovered voluntarily and through enforcement totaling 1 million 611 thousand UAH (taking into account previously submitted claims and lawsuits).

Ivano-Frankivsk Region

For the illegal cutting of 118 (one hundred eighteen) living and dead trees of the species hornbeam, alder, oak, maple, beech, cherry, and spruce outside the settlement of Ezyupol in the Yezupol village council of the Ivano-Frankivsk district, the Carpathian District Inspection has calculated damages amounting to 720 thousand 643 UAH, and a claim has been presented to the Yezupol village council for voluntary compensation of the damage caused to the state.

Lviv Region

For the illegal logging by unidentified individuals of 21 fir trees in the territory of the Prykarpattya Forestry of the Turka Forestry Enterprise “Halsilles”, the Inspection in Lviv region has calculated damages amounting to 669 thousand UAH. The materials have been sent to the Drohobych Police Department of the Lviv region for response and attachment of the inspection materials to the criminal proceedings.

Poltava Region

During the activities carried out by the Central District Inspection in conjunction with the Main Directorate of the National Police in the waters of the Kremenchuk Reservoir, within the "Sulin" nature reserve, unregulated fishing gear was discovered and removed from the water, namely: 9 nets made of fishing line, which contained fish. The amount of damage caused to the state is 589 thousand UAH. The materials have been sent to the National Police in the Poltava region to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the crime.
