The Russian army has begun to change its tactics for offensives at the front. Now they will focus on breakthroughs at a single point.
This was stated by the chief sergeant of the strike UAV company, Yegor Firsov, in a comment to the Youtube channel RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, the enemy has currently concentrated its forces near Kurakhove and Selydove. It is likely that the Russians aim to stabilize the front line and then redeploy troops to Pokrovsk.
"The situation there is critical; all types of weaponry are being used, with maximum artillery fire from the enemy, the use of aerial bombs, and a significant number of drones. Of course, we respond, trying our best to shoot down their wings, deny them 'eyes,' and the guys are holding on as best as they can," Firsov explained.
He also noted that recently the Russian army has altered its battlefield tactics. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, they stretched their forces and attempted to attack along the entire front line, from Avdiivka to Kyiv. Now, it’s the opposite.
"They fully understand how that turned out for them. Now they are accumulating all their forces and creating concentrated points, with ten brigades launching a major assault," he pointed out.
The military reported that the Russians have a significant advantage in infantry, drones, and artillery.
Recently, Russia has concentrated its forces in several areas of the Donetsk region. In particular, in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, almost half of the total daily combat encounters occur every day.
Earlier, we reported that on November 20, the Russians attempted to breach defensive lines 29 times in the areas of several settlements in the Kurakhove direction.
Additionally, as a result of enemy shelling, the Ternivka dam of the Kurakhove reservoir was destroyed.
