On the morning of Tuesday, January 7, the Russian army shelled the border area of the Chernihiv region. The city of Semenivka came under enemy fire.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration.
According to the Regional Military Administration (OVA), this morning the enemy shelled Semenivka multiple times. As a result of the shelling, three people were injured, two of whom have been hospitalized. There are damages.
"All details will follow later," wrote the head of the Regional State Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus.
He also warned of the threat of repeated shelling.

Chaus clarified that Semenivka was under enemy fire all night. The enemy used artillery. In particular, as a result of shelling on the evening of January 6, residential houses caught fire.
By the morning of January 7, the enemy struck civilian infrastructure. An enterprise was damaged. Buildings and homes of local residents were also affected by the shelling.
Recall that on the evening of January 4, the Russian army struck the border town of Semenivka in the Chernihiv region. The Russians used guided aerial bombs and targeted the central part of the settlement. Significant damage was recorded in the city.
Initially, local authorities and police reported seven casualties as a result of the attack. However, later the number of injured due to the airstrike rose to nine people.
