When the "Azerbaijan Airlines" plane was flying over Grozny, three strikes were heard. The aircraft was advised to land in the Caspian Sea.

This was stated by flight attendant Zulfugar Asadov, as reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Sky News.

He noted that the Russians prohibited the "Azerbaijan Airlines" plane from landing in Grozny. Therefore, the pilot began to circle the area around the city.

"The captain said that he was advised to land the plane in the sea, but he decided to head towards Aktau and land it on land," Asadov clarified.

According to him, the captain also warned that the landing would be hard. Thus, he asked the flight attendants to prepare the passengers for this situation.

"As soon as the pilot took off, I heard a hit on the left wing. There were three strikes," added Asadov.

He recounted that at that moment "something struck" his left arm, and the cabin lost pressure.

Wafa Shabanova, who was a passenger, said that she also heard two loud strikes. According to her, after that, there were issues with the oxygen levels in the cabin.
