Losses of $18 million: The State Eco-Inspection thwarted poaching activities in the "Tuzlovsky Limans."

On November 19, 2024, in the territory of the Tuzlovskyi Lymany National Nature Park, state inspectors for environmental protection from the Southwestern district, together with inspectors from the Odesa Fish Protection Patrol, employees of the water police of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi RVP, and the border service “Resort Water Biological Resources,” conducted an operation.

The incident took place at Lake Alibei, near the village of Zheltyi Yar in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of Odesa region. Without the necessary permit, the offender used three gill nets to catch 420 individuals of the flounder species.

The damage caused to Ukraine's fish stocks amounts to 18 million 336 thousand 587 UAH.

A protocol has been drawn up against the offender under Article 91 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
