В Донецкой области в результате удара дрона погиб российский пропагандист.

A staff member of the Russian publication "Izvestia," propagandist Alexander Martemyanov, was killed in the occupied part of the Donetsk region. This occurred as a result of a drone strike on the vehicle carrying a group of representatives from Russian media.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Reuters.

The incident took place on the Donetsk - Horlivka highway in an area temporarily controlled by Russian invaders in the Donetsk region.

It is noted that at the time of the drone strike, Martemyanov was in the vehicle along with four other employees of propaganda media.

The Russian news agency "RIA Novosti" stated that two of their correspondents (Maxim Romanenko and Mikhail Kevkhiyev) were injured in the incident, along with two representatives from the Donetsk publication "Bloknot Donetsk," namely Svetlana Larina and Izabella Liberman.

Russian media also reports that Martemyanov was returning from Horlivka at the time.

The Russian publication "Izvestia" claimed on Saturday in its Telegram channel that Martemyanov was allegedly killed as a result of a drone strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a civilian vehicle in which their freelance correspondent was traveling.

Both Russian propaganda resources and Maria Zakharova, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, attribute responsibility for this drone strike to Ukraine. However, the Russian side provides no evidence to support this claim.

It is worth noting that propagandist Martemyanov had previously been injured in the legs in October 2023 in the Donetsk area due to shelling.

Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that in September 2024, Russian propagandist Alexander Korobov, known as "Crab," was eliminated in Belgorod. He worked for the television channel Russia 1 and created propaganda materials for the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In July 2023, there was also information about the death of Russian propagandist Rostislav Zhuravlev from "RIA Novosti" at the front.

Additionally, in April 2024, in St. Petersburg, a militant from the "DNR" and propagandist "war correspondent" Vladlen Tatarsky was killed in a café explosion.
