В Финляндии россиянину Петровскому предъявили обвинения в совершении военных преступлений в Украине.

The Prosecutor's Office of Finland has charged the founder and former commander of the military group "Rusich," Voislav Torden, who is more commonly known as Yan Petrovsky.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Yle.

According to the publication, the Central Criminal Police has initiated a preliminary investigation into the ex-commander of the notorious Russian group, Voislav Torden.

In Finland, the combat group "Rusich," established by Torden, is accused of committing terrorist crimes in Ukraine. He is currently in custody of the Finnish Border Guard.

It is worth noting that the Supreme Court of Finland has ruled that Torden cannot be extradited to Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Central Criminal Police has discreetly begun a preliminary investigation into Torden, examining the materials that Ukraine has sent to Finland.

The materials contain arguments as to why Ukraine believes Torden should be extradited. It is highly likely that they will include reasons why he is suspected of terrorist crimes in Ukraine.

Petrovsky's Arrest in Finland

At the end of August last year, the Finnish police arrested Petrovsky. At that time, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine announced that it wants to extradite him.

Yan Petrovsky is the leader and commander of the Russian paramilitary formation "Operational Group 'Rusich'." He gained notoriety due to his connections in far-right circles, and Petrovsky also fought alongside Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
