In Ivano-Frankivsk region, a car collided with a truck, resulting in the deaths of five individuals.

Near the village of Nastashino, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a passenger car collided with a truck. As a result of the road traffic accident (RTA), five people lost their lives.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration (OVA), Svitlana Onyshchuk.

"Last night near the village of Nastashino in the Burshtyn community, a road traffic accident occurred. As a result of the collision between a passenger car and a truck, five people died, including two minors," Onyshchuk wrote.

Details of the accident

According to the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ivano-Frankivsk region, the accident took place on the N-09 highway. The report of the RTA was received around 21:41 on December 30.

Law enforcement officials established that a 20-year-old driver of a "BMW 520," a resident of Burshtyn, exceeded the speed limit and veered into oncoming traffic on a curved section of the road, subsequently colliding with a DAF truck. The driver of the truck was a 52-year-old resident of Moldova.

It was also determined that the remaining tread depth of the rear tires of the "BMW" did not meet the established requirements.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the passenger car and his four passengers died.

Recall that RBK-Ukraine reported that recently a passenger bus overturned between the villages of Zaluzhye and Makaryevo in the Mukachevo district of the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in nine people injured.
