A passenger bus overturned in the Transcarpathian region, resulting in nine individuals being hospitalized.

A passenger bus overturned between the villages of Zaluzhye and Makaryevo in the Mukachevo district of the Zaporizhzhia region. Nine individuals were hospitalized.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Transcarpathian region.

The report of the traffic accident (TA) was received at 07:35.

"According to preliminary data, the passenger bus PAZ-3205, which was on the route 'Mukachevo - Barbovo', veered off the road into a ditch and overturned onto its roof", - the Main Department of the State Emergency Service (SES) in the Zaporizhzhia region stated.

At the time of the accident, there were 25 passengers on the bus, of which 9 individuals were hospitalized at the Mukachevo Central District Hospital named after Saint Martin.

"They (the rescuers, - ed.) promptly disconnected the battery terminals to prevent a potential fire in the vehicle. Currently, law enforcement is investigating all the circumstances of the accident", - the Main Department of the SES in the Zaporizhzhia region added.

We remind you that RBK-Ukraine reported that yesterday, December 29, a bus accident involving a Suzuki occurred in Kharkiv, resulting in six people being injured. The vehicle swerved into the oncoming lane at a turn.
