On the night of December 28, a fatal traffic accident involving a Tesla occurred in Kyiv. The driver was under the influence of alcohol, the vehicle overturned, and two individuals lost their lives.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Kyiv police.
The incident involving the electric vehicle took place in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv during curfew hours.
At the scene, law enforcement established that the Tesla driver, being intoxicated, did not choose a safe speed and lost control, veering off the roadway and colliding with a concrete fence, causing the car to flip onto its roof.
"As a result of the accident, two passengers in the vehicle - a 40-year-old man and a woman born in 1983 - died at the scene," the police noted.

The driver was found to be intoxicated, with a "Dräger" breathalyzer reading of 1.84 per mille.
Law enforcement detained the 41-year-old woman under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The penalty under this article provides for imprisonment for up to 12 years, along with a driving ban for up to 10 years.
As reported, in November, a bus at high speed crashed into a car in Teremky, after which it veered onto the sidewalk and collided with a kiosk. One person died, and four were injured.
Additionally, in the Podilskyi district of Kyiv, a driver fatally struck a woman who was crossing at a pedestrian crossing.
