Which specialists are currently sought by the elite unit of the GUR "Artan"? Drivers and medical professionals.

What distinguishes the support provided to military personnel serving in special operations units of the GUR? Why is the focus during recruitment at "Artana" currently on civilians, and what positions are available for them to apply for?
Каких специалистов, таких как водители и медики, в настоящее время ищет ведущая команда ГУР «Артан»?

The answers to frequently asked questions by the military intelligence service were released by the GUR MOU unit "Artan" on their social media pages.

Specifically, the message discusses the salaries and material support for special forces intelligence officers.

“Salaries are calculated based on a separate pay scale. They can reach up to 200,000 per month, depending on the tasks and the duration of stay in the area of combat orders. The unit also provides personnel with food, medical assistance, ammunition, and transportation while in the area,” the message states.

At the same time, intelligence representatives emphasized that most positions in Artan are combat-related. Therefore, the unit has established an effective rotation system for soldiers to recover after completing their tasks.

“We compensate the load on the soldiers with regular rotations after each task. This year, the unit has expanded its personnel. Additional positions for mechanics-drivers, medics, and engineers have been created,” the unit's page reports.

Separately, the special forces commented on the relevant topic of transfer possibilities. According to the released message, it is generally easier for civilians wishing to serve in intelligence to mobilize in "Artan" than to later seek a transfer to the GUR from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The main difficulty lies in the different command structures, making the procedure potentially very lengthy.

Earlier, an officer of "Artan" with the call sign Favorit congratulated Ukrainians on the New Year and summarized the results of 2024. According to him, over the year, the unit has significantly grown, and it has been possible to substantially improve the reconnaissance support system for operation planning. On New Year's Eve, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, recorded a message in which he personally thanked the commander of "Artan," Viktor Titan, for effective work.
