In the Sumy region, a railway worker was injured due to Russian shelling. The woman was hospitalized with injuries.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the joint-stock company "Ukrzaliznytsia".
The company noted that on October 6, a duty officer at a crossing was injured as a result of enemy shelling.
"The railway worker with a shoulder injury was taken to the hospital and received all necessary assistance," the "UZ" reported.
Additionally, the company mentioned that as a result of Russian strikes in the Sumy region, railway infrastructure was also damaged, particularly elements of power supply and tracks.
It should be noted that railway infrastructure often becomes a target for enemy shelling. Employees of "UZ" also fall victim to Russian attacks.
For instance, in the spring of this year, due to a Russian strike, three employees of "Ukrzaliznytsia" were killed in the Donetsk region. Four others were injured.
In July, occupiers attacked the railway in the Kharkiv region, resulting in injuries.
Earlier, it was reported that on September 29, Russian invaders attacked the railway station in the Sumy region using a drone. The railway station in the city of Khotur-Mykhailivskyi (Druzhba) in the Shostka district came under fire.
Prior to that, the occupiers attacked this station on September 26, and three people were injured as a result of the strike.
Additionally, we remind you that on September 29, the Russian army struck the station building in the city of Zaporizhzhia. As a result, changes were made to the schedules of several trains.
And at the beginning of September, the Russian army carried out a targeted massive shelling of "Ukrzaliznytsia" facilities in the Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
