Ukrainian forces wounded a general and killed several North Korean army officers in the Kursk region, according to the Financial Times.

In Maryino, located in the Kursk region, a North Korean general was injured as a result of an attack on a sanatorium. Several other officers of the DPRK army were killed.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Financial Times.

According to a source from the publication, the strike on Maryino was part of a series of attacks targeting North Koreans in the Kursk region over the past week. The source stated that Ukrainian forces were searching for the locations of the Koreans, as the Russians had dispersed them.

As noted by Financial Times, the identity of the North Korean general has not been disclosed. However, it is previously known that North Korea sent General Kim Jong Bok to oversee the special forces unit known as the "Storm Corps."

It is impossible to confirm that he was injured in Maryino.

Involvement of North Korea in the War Against Ukraine

Last month, information emerged that North Korea had dispatched its military personnel to the Russian Federation. The DPRK soldiers were supposed to assist Russian forces in the war against Ukraine.

Recently, Zelensky reported that the number of North Korean troops on Russian territory has reached 11,000, and this figure could rise to 100,000.

On November 20, Bloomberg reported that Ukrainian forces had launched Storm Shadow missiles at Russia for the first time. It was stated online that an attack followed on the village of Maryino in the Kursk region.
