In 34 months of full-scale war in Ukraine, over 950 healthcare facilities have been restored.

The full-scale war initiated by Russia has been ongoing for over two and a half years.
За 34 месяца войны в Украине восстановлено свыше 950 медицинских учреждений.

During this time, Russia has inflicted significant damage on the Ukrainian healthcare system, including its medical institutions. Every day, the enemy deliberately targets peaceful cities and terrorizes civilians. Attacks on hospitals, clinics, outpatient facilities, maternity wards, and more continue.

Despite the immense strain on the healthcare system and the destruction, the restoration of medical infrastructure remains a top priority for the state. This ensures that Ukrainians have access to quality medical care.

In various regions of Ukraine, 963 medical facilities have already been fully or partially restored. Of these, 593 facilities have been completely restored, while 370 have been partially restored. These are medical institutions located in liberated territories, as well as those that sustained minor damage such as broken windows, roof destruction, facade damage, etc. The most facilities have been restored in Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions.

The Ministry of Health, along with its partners, will continue to work on restoring the Ukrainian medical infrastructure to ensure that quality medical assistance is available to Ukrainians, allowing doctors to continue providing medical services to all those in need.

Since the onset of the full-scale war, the enemy has damaged 1,971 medical facilities, with 300 of them completely destroyed. The greatest losses have been suffered by hospitals in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia. It is impossible to obtain comprehensive information about the level of destruction of medical institutions in temporarily occupied territories. Additionally, since the beginning of the war, Russia has damaged 233 emergency medical vehicles, destroyed 273, and seized 80 ambulances.
