They also talked about the process of implementing the Memorandum of Cooperation within the framework of JCM, which was signed in February of this year between our ministries. It was agreed to expedite its implementation and identify potential areas for specific projects under the JCM. Keiichiro Asao assured that Japan supports our environmental ambitions and will continue to take practical steps despite the war. The procedure for establishing the Joint Committee of the JCM is nearing completion, and preparations for training events for Ukrainian officials and technical specialists have begun.
“Ukraine values Japan's expertise in implementing green innovations and is ready to deepen cooperation in all specified areas. There are many opportunities across different sectors, as climate is a field that affects all areas of the economy and especially requires modern technologies. JICA – Japan International Cooperation Agency – is helping us with this,” noted Svitlana Grinchuk.
The Minister expressed gratitude to Keiichiro Asao for Japan's fundamental support during the war.
