During the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2025, at the invitation of the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium and a personal invitation from Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, Olga Yashchuk, advisor and acting head of the State Eco-Inspection, participated in a private royal reception hosted by His Majesty King Philippe I and Her Majesty Queen Mathilde, as well as in a cocktail reception featuring a discussion panel on the topic: “Building a War-Resilient Economy to Sustain Peace.”
The main themes of the evening included: EU security and defense, the war in Ukraine, economic development under energy-efficient solutions, the implementation of the Paris Agreement, decarbonization, and the new direction of U.S. policy.
Olga Yashchuk noted: “Throughout the evening, I was genuinely touched by the warm welcome and supportive words from Her Majesty Queen Mathilde, as well as the absolutely objective, accurate, and resolute words from my long-time friend of Ukraine, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, and the inspiring resolutions from the newly elected NATO Secretary General, Mr. Mark Rutte, with whom I had the great honor to converse. This year’s forum demonstrated like never before its strength, determination, and solidarity among friendly nations in consolidating a strategy to create a unified, unshakeable formula for business and peace!”
