The former head of the Ternopil Regional Council has received another charge.

The former head of the Ternopil Regional Council is suspected of inaccurate declaration. He may have failed to declare his property.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office on Telegram.

Law enforcement officials have not disclosed the name of the individual involved in the case, but according to RBK-Ukraine sources, it concerns the former head of the Ternopil Regional Council, Mykhailo Holovko.

"The prosecutor, with the participation of NABU detectives, informed the former chairman of the Ternopil Regional Council (currently a deputy of the same council) of the suspicion of deliberately providing knowingly false information in the declaration," the message stated.

According to SAP information, in the declarations for 2022-2023, Holovko did not mention a 201 square meter apartment that belonged to his mother. He used the apartment together with his family members.

Additionally, in the 2022 declaration, Holovko likely omitted information about funds in a bank account and non-residential properties – a parking space, a car wash, and a storage room owned by his family members.

The Holovko Case

Recall that in 2023, Mykhailo Holovko was caught for bribery. According to law enforcement data, he and officials from the Ternopil Military Administration demanded nearly 1.8 million hryvnias from an entrepreneur.

For this amount, the individuals involved offered to sign acts of completed work for the construction and repair of infrastructure facilities by the communal enterprise of the Ternopil Regional Council.

In June 2023, the court chose a preventive measure for Holovko in the form of arrest with the possibility to post bail of 805,200 hryvnias. He was placed under house arrest in November.
