The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) is preparing an appeal to the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) with a lawsuit for the nationalization of assets and corporate rights of the "Poltava Mining and Processing Plant".
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing SBI.
According to the SBI, the proposed nationalization includes 541 real estate properties owned by the enterprise, as well as 172 land plots that are leased by the plant for 49 years.
Specifically, the nationalization will affect 2,382 iron wagons and 53.3 thousand linear meters of access roads.
The court is also asked to consider the nationalization of corporate rights amounting to 49.5% of the charter capital of "Poltava GOK".
As the SBI reminds, on September 20, 2024, investigators submitted an indictment to the Kyiv District Court of Kharkiv against seven officials, as well as employees of the plant. According to the investigation, the management of the enterprise, which belongs to oligarch Konstantin Zhevago, embezzled 370 million hryvnias.
Additionally, it should be noted that in February, Ukraine imposed sanctions against oligarchs due to threats to national security, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of the country. Zhevago was among those sanctioned.
In July, the HACC arrested Zhevago in absentia in connection with the case against the former head of the Supreme Court, Vsevolod Knyazev.
