The National Police and SBU apprehended FSB agents for a terrorist act near the TCK in Kamianets-Podilskyi.

Law enforcement officials apprehended agents of the Russian FSB who orchestrated a terrorist attack near the TCK in the city of Kamyanets-Podilskyi. A man delivering a package lost his life in the incident.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the press service of the National Police.

During the investigation, it was determined that the perpetrators of the attack were a local drug addict and a 17-year-old student from one of the city's colleges. It was revealed that they were recruited by the Russian FSB through a Telegram channel that offered quick earnings.

Investigators traced the route of the explosives transfer, leading them to the mercenaries. One of the detainees constructed a homemade explosive device following FSB instructions. He equipped it with nuts and rebar scraps for maximum impact. The device was also fitted with a mobile phone for remote detonation. After that, the explosives were moved to a hidden location.

The second agent, a drug-dependent man, received the coordinates of the stash and the task to deliver the explosives to the TCK building. However, he understood that he could die during the delivery, so he decided not to risk his life and opted for courier services instead.

As soon as the courier arrived with the package near the TCK, Russian special services executed a remote detonation.

Law enforcement conducted searches of the detainees and seized mobile phones containing evidence of their connection to the FSB, as well as components for making explosive devices.

Both men have now been informed of the suspicion under part 3 of article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act leading to death). They are currently in custody and face life imprisonment with asset confiscation.

Recall that on February 5, it was reported that an explosion occurred near the TCK in Kamyanets-Podilskyi.

At that time, one person was reported dead and four injured.

Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has seen a surge in terrorist attacks related to TCK employees or their locations.

Earlier, we reported that a terrorist act was carried out in the building of the Rivne regional TCK, resulting in one fatality.

On the eve, a military personnel from the TCK was attacked and killed at a gas station in Pyriatyn, Poltava region. The following day, there was an explosion near the TCK in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region.
