Drones attacked the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery in the Rostov region of Russia on December 19. At least one fuel tank caught fire during the incident.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing "Radio Free Europe."
"New satellite images show that as a result of the drone strike on the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery in the Rostov region five days ago, at least one fuel tank was burned," the report states.
It is worth noting that after the attack, the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery in the Rostov region stopped operating both of its primary oil processing units.
Earlier, we reported that explosions occurred in Russian Novoshakhtinsk on the night of December 19. Later, the acting governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusary, announced a fire at the Novoshakhtinsk oil products plant.
According to Andrey Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, the affected oil refinery in Russian Novoshakhtinsk plays a significant role in the defense industry of the Russian Federation.
