On the night of December 22, Russians launched an attack on Ukraine using 60 strike drones. Ukrainian forces managed to intercept more than half of them.

According to the Air Forces, from 10:00 on December 23 to 09:00 on December 24, 2024, the enemy attacked with 60 "Shahed" strike drones and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles from the directions of Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
The aerial assault was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 10:00, the downing of 36 "Shahed" strike drones and other types of UAVs has been confirmed in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
It is also known that due to the counteractions of the Defense Forces, 23 enemy imitation drones were locally lost.
Last night, December 23, the Russian army was again observed launching several groups of kamikaze drones towards Ukraine during another aerial assault.
In several regions, air alerts were declared. As of now, enemy strike drones are being detected over the left bank of Ukraine, as well as over parts of the regions on the right bank of the Dnipro River.
