Russian invaders launched an attack on Zaporizhzhia, targeting an infrastructure facility in the city.
This was stated by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, as reported by RBK-Ukraine citing his message on Telegram.
According to preliminary information, two people were injured as a result of the Russian attack.
"The extent of the destruction is being assessed," he noted.
Fedorov also urged residents of the region to adhere to safety regulations.
In October, media reports emerged regarding possible plans by Russian troops to launch a large-scale offensive to gain control over Zaporizhzhia. Additionally, the occupiers have intensified airstrikes on the city, utilizing guided aerial bombs.
Recently, there have been reports that Russian forces have taken control of the village of Levadne in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the enemy's advancement in this direction.
Moreover, military officials have warned of potential dangers on the southern front. Several sources in military and political circles, with whom RBK-Ukraine spoke, expressed concerns that the occupiers may initiate offensive actions in the Zaporizhzhia region.
