In the center of Kyiv, an unknown assailant shot a 68-year-old man in a café this evening, January 28. He has been hospitalized.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Kyiv Police on Facebook.
According to law enforcement, the report of the incident in one of the cafés came in around 4:20 PM today.
The police initially established that a conflict occurred between the 68-year-old patron and other individuals. During this altercation, one participant likely used a traumatic pistol and fired several times at the elderly man.
"After the act, the perpetrator fled the scene, and the search for him continues. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized," law enforcement officials clarified.
A forensic investigation team and police units are working at the incident site. All circumstances are being investigated.
By the way, at the end of November, a conflict occurred between groups of men at the Sky Loft hotel in Kyiv. It escalated into a brawl.
During the fight, one of the conflict participants drew a weapon and began shooting. As a result, there were injuries.
Additionally, a few days ago, a shooting took place in Cherkasy. The perpetrator was apprehended.
