In the highlands of the Carpathians, temperatures can drop to 20 degrees below zero. Therefore, Ukrainians planning to hike in the mountains should be prepared for the weather conditions and be aware of the state of the trails.

It is worth noting that recently, there was a significant drop in air temperature in one of the mountainous areas of the Carpathians. During the day, temperatures were recorded at 23-25 degrees below zero, and at night - up to 30 degrees below zero. Border guards, along with the mountain search and rescue team, searched for eight hours for three men who got lost in the mountains.
The weather in Ukraine on February 21 will be frosty, dry, and without significant precipitation. At night, temperatures are expected to be between 10-15 degrees below zero, while in the east, it will be 12-19 degrees below zero. Throughout the day, thermometers will show frost levels of 1-6 degrees. Strong winds are forecasted in the south, with gusts reaching up to 15-20 meters per second.
