In Kyiv region, a railway worker died due to a drone attack, which also caused a fire.

In the Boryspil district of Kyiv region, as a result of a Russian airstrike involving drones, one person has died. A fire also broke out in a warehouse, and buildings were damaged.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the head of the Kyiv regional military administration Mykola Kalashnikov.

"As a result of the enemy drone attack in the Boryspil district, a 60-year-old man died at a railway crossing. He passed away before medical assistance arrived," the official stated.

The head of the OVA also informed that due to the enemy airstrike in the Boryspil district, "a warehouse is on fire, and firefighting efforts are ongoing."

"Windows of a residential high-rise building and an educational institution located nearby have been damaged," the administration head's statement reads.

He added that more information regarding the aftermath will be provided later.

"The air raid alert continues! We ask everyone to stay in shelters until the danger passes," the head of the OVA urged.

Updated: A railway worker has died

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the crossing attendant in the Boryspil district was killed due to the drone's fall. This incident occurred while the man was on duty.

"We sincerely sympathize with the family and will definitely support them," the UZ statement reads.

It is also noted that train movement in the area is permitted at reduced speed, and trains are operating on schedule.

Later, the National Police reported that due to the drone attack in Kyiv region, a service vehicle of the patrol police response group from the Boryspil police department was also damaged.

The NPU stated that as a result of the airstrike in the Boryspil district:

• a fire occurred in a warehouse,
• a private house, an educational institution, and an apartment in a high-rise were damaged.

"As a result of the enemy attack at the railway crossing, a man has died," law enforcement agencies added.

It was also reported that on the evening of February 21, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv and several regions due to the threat of drone strikes.
