In occupied Mariupol, there has been a sharp increase in the number of operational groups from the Russian FSB. The Russians are conducting mass arrests in an attempt to track down the Ukrainian underground.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the partisan movement "ATEŞ".

According to "ATEŞ", the Russians are intensifying patrols, conducting sweeps, and carrying out mass document checks. They likely realize that even in the deep rear, there is no complete safety, as the partisan movement is growing and the occupiers are suffering losses not only at the front.

"We know that the local residents hate the invaders and continue to fight for their land. Every day, new supporters of the resistance emerge, and repression will not stop this process," the message states.

Partisans also request that if you have information about the actions of Russian special services or the occupation administration, please share it. This is your contribution to the liberation of the city and its inhabitants from occupation.

The Situation in Mariupol

We remind you that Russian troops captured Mariupol in the Donetsk region during Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The occupiers are currently using the territory of the city and port for military purposes.

To capture Mariupol, the occupiers employed a tactic of starvation and constant bombardments. Civilians were left without water, gas, and electricity for several days after the siege, as temperatures dropped below -10 degrees Celsius.

As early as May 2022, it was reported that in Mariupol, Russian occupiers killed 25,000 people. However, the actual number of casualties caused by Russia in Mariupol is significantly higher.
