The Moldovan government has begun developing an emergency plan for the country's energy sector. This situation may arise due to the cessation of gas transit from Russia through Ukraine.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing NewsMaker.

According to the publication, the action plan states that hospitals, airports, national television, as well as the parliament, government, and presidential administration will be deemed "vital" institutions. These facilities cannot be disconnected from electricity.

"Vital consumers are the end users who must be prioritized for electricity supply, depending on technical capabilities. Other consumers not in this category will be supplied with electricity on an equal and non-discriminatory basis, as far as the technical capabilities of the system operators allow. However, their power networks may be disconnected in exceptional situations within the energy sector," the plan states.

According to the document, lists of critically important facilities will be compiled. These include: hospitals, emergency medical centers, blood transfusion facilities, children's institutions, as well as energy and utility facilities, such as dispatch services for water, gas, and heating supply.

The list will also include government institutions, encompassing the buildings of the parliament, presidential administration, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and other strategic sites such as airports, railway infrastructure, power stations, and television.

The government will review the project at a meeting on December 11.
