Russian military forces continue to terrorize the civilian population of Ukraine. This time, a charity organization's vehicle was attacked in the Zaporizhzhia region.
As reported by RBK-Ukraine, this was stated by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, in Telegram.
"The cynicism of the occupiers knows no bounds: the enemy struck at volunteers who are providing humanitarian aid to frontline cities and villages," wrote the chairman of the Zaporizhzhia regional administration, Ivan Fedorov.
According to him, an enemy drone hit a truck belonging to the charity organization in Orekhiv. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
The situation in Orekhiv, Zaporizhzhia region, remains critical due to intense shelling by Russian troops. The city faces daily attacks using aerial bombs, artillery, and drones. Approximately 70% of the infrastructure has been destroyed, including residential buildings, hospitals, and power grids.
According to preliminary data, around 500 people still reside in Orekhiv. These are mainly pensioners who remain despite the danger. Mobile medical teams and rescuers are working to deliver food, water, and medications. The region faces a significant threat from unexploded ordnance and mines, which further complicate life for local residents.
At the beginning of October, the media began reporting on the preparation by Russians for a large-scale offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region. Subsequently, information emerged about the enemy's advance near the settlement of Levadne in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed this information, but emphasized that it does not pose a threat to the front.
According to sources from RBK-Ukraine, the start of the occupiers' operation in the Zaporizhzhia region was expected around December 5. However, this date cannot be considered final.
