A citizen of Ukraine died during a police intervention near Kluczbork in the Opole Voivodeship of Poland. He lost consciousness after the police employed so-called incapacitating techniques.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing RMF FM.

According to media reports, the owner of a local company near Kluczbork contacted the police. He stated that a 48-year-old man wanted to be hired by his firm. However, during their conversation, the man became aggressive, leading to a scuffle, prompting the entrepreneur to call emergency services.

Law enforcement arrived at the scene, and according to their statements, the man refused to identify himself and did not respond to commands. At the same time, he was conversing with them in Polish.

The officers decided to take the man to the station to establish his identity, but he began to resist.

The police attempted to put handcuffs on him and used various techniques. At that moment, the Ukrainian lost consciousness. The officers called for an ambulance, but the medical team was unable to restore the vital functions of the Ukrainian.

The Polish prosecutor's office has already initiated an investigation into the case of negligent homicide. Autopsies have been ordered, along with toxicological and histopathological examinations of the deceased's body.

Previously, RBK-Ukraine reported that at the end of March, an 18-year-old Ukrainian died in a car accident in Poland. He was trying to flee from the police when he crashed into a roadside pole.
