A passenger plane crash in Kazakhstan has resulted in the deaths of 38 individuals, according to the Deputy Prime Minister.

This was stated by Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbaev, as reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Report.

"The situation is not very good, with 38 fatalities. The bodies are in poor condition, mostly burned," noted Bozumbaev.

He added that 29 individuals, including two children, who were injured in the aviation accident are in hospitals. Eleven people are in stable but critical condition, while the others are in moderate condition.

The Deputy Prime Minister mentioned that examinations will be conducted to identify the deceased.

Furthermore, according to Bozumbaev, there are no citizens of Kazakhstan among the survivors.

"There is currently one woman, whose identity has not been established. She is unconscious in the hospital, and there are no documents. Among the other 29 survivors, there are no Kazakhstani citizens," he stated.

The official clarified that the investigation into the incident is being conducted under the supervision of the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and aviation authorities.

Plane Crash

Recall that in Kazakhstan, near the city of Aktau today, December 25, a passenger plane crashed while flying from Baku to Grozny.

There were 67 people on board, including citizens of Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

As reported online, the passenger plane may have come under fire in Russian airspace. There are visible traces on its fuselage that could have resulted from anti-aircraft fire.
