In Romania, alerts were issued for two consecutive nights due to Russian drone attacks on Ukraine.

On the night of January 30, residents of the northern Tulcea County in Romania received an air raid alert. This was triggered by an attack from a Russian drone near the border between Ukraine and Romania.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine with a link to the Romanian Ministry of Defense.

According to the country's Ministry of Defense, monitoring and observation systems detected drones in the airspace of Ukraine, along flight routes near the border.

Residents of the settlements closest to the border were sent a message around 04:00 (local time - ed.) about the threat of falling objects from the airspace and were advised to seek shelter. The alert lasted for 90 minutes.

It is worth noting that a similar message was sent out on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. At that time, Russia attacked port infrastructure in the Izmail district of Odessa region, Ukraine.

That night, two Romanian Air Force F-16 aircraft, part of the air policing combat service, took off from the 86th Air Base in Borcea around 03:40. The planes returned to base around 05:00 (local time - ed.).

The ministry noted that the data provided by the radar systems of the Romanian Air Force did not indicate any intrusion of drones into Romanian airspace.

Nocturnal Attack on Ukrainian Territory

On the night of January 30, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with strike drones, triggering air raid alerts in several regions. In Sumy, a drone struck a high-rise building, resulting in four fatalities and nine injuries, including a child. Destruction was also reported in the Poltava region.

We also reported that the Russian army, on the night of Thursday, January 30, launched another strike on the Izmail district in Odessa region. There, a hospital and private homes were damaged.

Yesterday, the port infrastructure in Odessa region came under fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. However, damage to buildings was reported as a result of the shelling.
