In Zaporizhzhia, rescuers retrieved another victim from the rubble. Here’s what we know about the aftermath of the attack.

In Zaporizhzhia, where the Russian army struck the city center, the body of another victim has been recovered from the rubble. At least 6 people remain trapped under the debris.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

According to Fedorov, as of 8:00 PM, the following is known:

  • 3 fatalities;
  • 1 person has been successfully resuscitated;
  • 16 individuals have been hospitalized (9 women, 7 men), most in extremely critical condition;
  • The number of injured has risen to 20.

He also noted that at least 6 people are still under the rubble. Contact has been established with some of them.

As a result of the Russian strike, a private clinic building was damaged, where doctors and patients were present. Additionally, windows and roofs of apartment buildings were damaged. Partial destruction also occurred at a school and an extracurricular institution.

"Rescue teams, utility services, and medical personnel continue their work. It will take another 5-7 hours to clear the rubble," Fedorov reported.

Nearly 50 emergency service rescuers, communal rescue service personnel, as well as police units and paramedics are on-site.

Strike on Zaporizhzhia on December 10

Today, around 3:00 PM, the Russian army launched a strike on the city of Zaporizhzhia. According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, the Russians hit a private hospital – it has been destroyed. Nearby buildings have also sustained damage.

He later clarified that three people died as a result of the enemy strike. However, Fedorov later specified that doctors were able to resuscitate one of the victims, who had been declared dead during the search operation.
